Position Title
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Griffin Carson is a third-year undergraduate student in Biological Systems Engineering at UC Davis, with an interest in sustainable agriculture, natural resource efficiency, and synthetic biology applications in plants. Griffin has experience with CAD modeling, MATLAB, and statistical data analysis, and is interested in pursuing a career in Agriculture and Natural Resource Engineering. His project focused on analyzing nutrient concentrations via spectroscopic nutrient analysis, in soil and water samples from various greenhouse environments. By analyzing nutrient concentrations and water quality parameters, the research aimed to identify optimal nutrient levels that support improved plant growth and system performance. The findings contribute to the development of more efficient and data-driven approaches for greenhouse nutrient management.
