Bio
Mala Parvin is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). Her current research focuses on assessing light-use efficiency and water-use efficiency, modeling crop growth, and evaluating evapotranspiration in controlled-environment agriculture. She works in the Controlled Environment Engineering Lab, where she leads a project on thermal, water, and energy performance in an advanced greenhouse system equipped with quantum-dot-enhanced glazing and variable photovoltaic coverage.
